From Agave to Excellence: The Casa Ajurra Process
Share
Every bottle of Casa Ajurra begins with carefully selected 100% Blue Weber Agave, harvested at peak maturity from the fertile lands of Jalisco, Mexico. Rich in natural sugars, each agave is chosen to deliver exceptional purity, character, and depth.
The agave piñas are gently steam-cooked to unlock their natural sweetness before being milled to extract their rich juices. Under carefully controlled conditions, natural yeast transforms these sugars during fermentation, allowing the authentic character of the agave to shine.
The spirit is then double distilled in stainless steel and copper stills, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision to achieve remarkable purity and balance.
Finally, our Añejo is patiently aged for 14 months in medium-toasted American Oak Bourbon barrels, where time enriches the tequila with elegant notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and subtle spice while preserving the true essence of the agave. Every bottle is carefully inspected and bottled with uncompromising attention to detail, an expression of craftsmanship, authenticity, and luxury from agave to excellence.
